Author of The Fairies of Waterfall Island
At 8 years old, Emma Sumner is one of the youngest authors to write a fairytale book. She loves the Rainbow Magic books by Daisy Meadows and The Never Girls Collection by Disney, and cannot wait to see her own book on the bookshelf next to them.
Emma lives in Northern California and is currently in the third grade. When she is not reading or writing, she spends most of her time playing outside with her friends and family, dancing Hula, or practicing gymnastics.
In school Emma regularly participates in activities such as spelling bees, math competitions, and even had a role in the school drama department’s version of the Broadway musical, “The Music Man.”
Emma started going to public libraries with her dad when she was a toddler, which had a profound effect on Emma’s love for books and storytelling. Emma learned to read at a young age and loves books of all kinds; but her favorite books are those that involve magic, fairies and adventure. She reads each night, and many nights, she even reads a different book to her younger sister as they are getting ready for bed.
Her dream is to become an author and to continue the adventures of The Fairies of Waterfall Island into a series.
